Managing Director of Workforce Strategy

Erik Leiden is Managing Director of Workforce Strategy at the Burning Glass Institute, where he leads the Institute’s portfolio of research and programs around private and public sector workforce strategy and talent mobility.

Erik has worked with Fortune 100 companies, major universities, state and local governments, and workforce organizations to develop data-driven approaches that expand worker opportunity, mobility, and career pathways. He has led workforce innovation projects that help employers better understand how hiring, upskilling, and talent development practices can simultaneously drive long-term economic mobility for workers and high returns-on-investment for their employers. His work has been featured in major media outlets, informing national discussions on the future of work and employer-driven workforce transformation.

Prior to the Burning Glass Institute, Erik worked at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Erik earned his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
